1.About this policy
BRD Labs operates BRD Golf, a mobile application for recording golf swings and exchanging coaching feedback. This policy applies to BRD Golf and the related web app at brdlabs.com.
2.Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the service.
Account information you provide:
- Name and email address
- Role (coach, player, parent, admin) and team membership
- Profile details you choose to add (handicap, etc.)
Content you create in the app:
- Swing videos you record or import
- Notes, feedback messages, and chat messages
- Scorecards and round data
Device data you grant access to:
- Camera — to record swings
- Microphone — to detect swing audio cues. Audio is not recorded or stored.
- Motion sensors — to time swing capture and stabilize the recording
- Photo library — to import existing swing videos and to save trimmed swings back
- Location (while in use) — to attach contextual metadata to swings
- Push notification token — only if you enable notifications
3.How we use your information
- To operate the service and let you record, review, and discuss swings
- To surface your content to people you have explicitly connected with (coach, player, parent)
- To send notifications you have enabled
- To improve the app — diagnose issues, fix bugs, refine analysis
- To meet legal and security obligations
4.What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing partners.
- We do not access your camera, microphone, photo library, or location outside of actions you initiate inside the app.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
5.Service providers acting on our behalf
We rely on a small number of third-party service providers (cloud hosting, authentication, push-notification delivery) to operate the service. They process data on our behalf, are bound by confidentiality, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
6.Data retention and deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — once deleted, we remove your personal information from our active systems. Reasonable backup retention may apply for a limited period.
7.Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and personal data
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Restrict or object to certain processing

8.Children's privacy
BRD Golf supports junior players through accounts managed under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
9.Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data in transit and at rest. See our Security page for details. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to investigate any incidents promptly.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email.
